FAQs

We do accept walk ons when space allows, but we strongly recommend you purchase your tickets in advance because the most popular timeslots do sell out fast.
Running a bit early or late? No problem. We aren't strict about arrival times within reason. Worried about the weather? Email us at avalonlavenderfarm@gmail.com and we can move your booking to another day. Note we are unable to refund due to weather but can reschedule. Some special events cannot be rescheduled.
Kids 10 years and under are free.
Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all times, and we are a working family farm, so please choose footwear accordingly.
You do not need a professional photo pass unless you are charging customers for your photographers. All visitors are welcome and encouraged to take photos around the farm.

    THINGS TO EXPERIENCE

31,000 lavender plants - English + French in 7 different cultivars. Our field has easy-to-read signs for a self-guided tour.

A River Walk + re-wilded riverside meadow, with peeks of the Nottawasaga River's North Branch.

Our Celtic Stone Circle: created as homage to our ancestry and as a reverent focal space of our farm.

The Avalon Apiary: with over 1,000,000 honeybees, lovingly managed in our partnership with Ontario Honey Creations.

Free-range lavender Orpington hens and Pekin ducks who love their life of grazing and adoration. A peacock named Arthur who loves to go on quests.

Three horses (KitKat the thoroughbred, Grace the Percheron and Frankie the Belgian Bay), 2 ponies (Captain Crunch + Spirit) and two lovely bunnies (Lois and Bernice) who love being lavished with attention.

A fully restored two-story 1881 Heritage Barn - with spaces for drying our lavender, and a farm shop filled with lavender products grown at Avalon and made by us or in partnership with celebrated local artisans.

On-site distillation: when the lavender is just right for harvesting it's oils and hydrosols, we make use of our Portuguese copper still in the courtyard for guests to observe.
Our lavender field art and moose. Amazing art in a natural environment.

Picnic spots are everywhere at Avalon: with tables, as well as room for your own blankets + nibbles.
